Was this review helpful? Nice job, better to work for corporate store than franchise. Good work and life balance. My area director leaves me alone so long as goals are met. Eat, Drink, Be Happy. Bar Louie is open to 2am, therefore your lifestyle could be dramatically altered in this environment.

So if you are single or a night owl this will be a great fit. You will learn a lot about liquor and making martinis. Not worth the time. Bar Louie Sugarland is a franchise location. The owners have zero experience on how to run a restaurant. The training for this place was almost two weeks.

Things looked promising until the place actually opened. They over schedule and bartenders are begging for shifts. This of course is after working a hour shift. Barbacks are few and slow.

Tips are split and you will be lucky to get one closing shift a week. Some bartenders get 5 closing shifts, others get none. People sacrificed to work here.

Do not waste your time applying. Responsible for maintaining a well working environment for myself and other employees, being a team player, caring for almost any needs the customers had; including drink refills, food orders and a relaxing carefree eating environment, while remaining within TABC code.

In addition, since it is a bar, another responsibility is to insure guest enjoy beverages with alcohol responsibly and maturely. I completely despised working at this location. Seeing and experiencing verbal abuse from some of management and working with the conniving staff members was physically and mentally draining.

Employees that have worked there for years being mistreated by new managers, unorganized, lack of communication.

Negative atmosphere for employees. Not a good place to work. They do not take care of their employees. This is not a good place for anyone.

I would not recommend that you work for this company. It's an upbeat place to work if you are interested in the restaurant industry. They seem to care about their employees. Productive and fun place to work. I love working at bar louie. I typically close every night at work Management there is easy to talk to, thorough and consistent in micromanaging.

The guests and my fellow co workers are what I enjoy most.

Meeting and talking to a variety of people each shift is truly rewarding. Hardest part of the job would be the hours. Make easy money but it is still a serving job. If you are wanting to move up within the company, it can happen.

Bar Louie loves to promote from with in although, I'm sure it's because they can pay empoyees less because they lack the experience. It's not that bad but it is a bar job. It's a good place to make quick cash but I wouldn't say a great company to have a career with.

Depends on what you look for. Typical bar job and if you have had a bar job you know what I mean.

Upbeat Place to work. Learned a lot about craft beer. Management was cool and keep things running smooth. Nothing hard about this job. Not busy enough for my style. The patio and Christmas crowd was great wish it was like that year around. The downfall, its in a mall. Awesome place to work. The culture at Louie is awesome. General Managers set the tone and it flows right down to the employees. GREAT PLACE TO WORK!! There's always something exciting and new in the menu to keep staff and guests involved.

There is never a lot of down time which is nice because of the long hours. Woking at Bar Louie has been a great experience. Bar Louie has great customers and great employees to satisfy the customers. It's a hit or miss workplace with trash management.

Every day you go in your praying you leave with something. The management needs major work and the the turnover rate here is the highest I've ever seen. Productive and fun environment with lively music and fun staff. Overall the workplace is fun and inviting. The staff is very lively and generous, makes you feel at home. Fun place for young people to work. Needs more people, low on staff. Long work hours but with good tips. No set schedules, but managers will work with you, to make sure you are okay.

Fast paced job great co-workers Hardest part, was no hard part just need to focus and the job will get done Management is very outgoing and friendly. Fun atmosphere to work it. Laid back but management makes sure your on top of your job.
